Who is CBU?
Central Bible University in Moberly, Mo., educates biblical servants for a faithful life of kingdom ministry. We want to equip you to serve the Lord, whatever your calling! Our programs do just that, preparing you to be faithful on purpose in ministry and life. Whether you are a student who wants to do full-time vocational ministry or one that wants to be prepared to represent Jesus well in another career, CBU will prepare you to serve and lead well.

At CBU we use the acronym SEAL to describe the kind of student we are looking for and the qualities we want to help students cultivate.
- “S” stands for Service. Taking the posture of Jesus to serve others is a key pillar of the character necessary for kingdom ministry.
- “E” stands for Experience. The ability to persevere through difficult experiences is critical to not give up when things get hard.
- “A” stands for Academics. When a person is passionate about something, they want to learn about it. We want students who will fully engage academically out of a passion for Jesus.
- “L” stands for Leadership. When these three come together, others are bound to follow. A position of leadership tends to await a person who exemplifies these characteristics deeply.

SEAL Scholarship
Our SEAL Scholarship creates a financial incentive for SEAL students like you. An incoming student can earn up to $10,000 for their first year. A returning student can earn up to $13,000 for each year after, which completely covers our current tuition cost. We not only say we want this kind of student, we make sure a SEAL student can come without a big financial burden.
